What you get with a lash lift in Bangkok

A lash lift curls your own lashes up from the root. Nothing is glued on, so there is nothing to fill or remove later.

• It costs 800 THB, or 1,200 THB with a tint.
• You spend about 45-60 minutes in the chair.
• It lasts 6-8 weeks, until your natural lashes grow out.
• Keep your lashes dry for 24 hours. After that you can swim, sweat and shower as normal.

How it works

1. We clean your lashes and ask about allergies, sensitive eyes and contact lenses. Before your first appointment we offer a free patch test at least 24 hours ahead, recommended for sensitive eyes.
2. A silicone pad goes on the eyelid and your lashes are set onto it.
3. A lifting lotion goes on, then a setting lotion.
4. You can add a tint to darken the lashes.
5. We finish with a conditioning step.

A lift suits you if your lashes are straight or point down, you do not want to wear mascara every day, or you are heading to the beach or the islands. It does not add length or thickness. For that you need extensions.

Classic, hybrid, volume or dramatic eyelash extensions

Eyelash extensions are single synthetic fibres bonded to your natural lashes, one by one.

• Classic (1,200 THB) puts one extension on each natural lash. It looks like good mascara.
• Hybrid (1,500 THB) mixes classic and volume. You get more texture and it still looks fairly natural.
• Volume (1,800 THB) fans several very fine extensions onto each natural lash. It looks fuller and darker.
• Dramatic (2,000 THB) is the fullest set, for events, photos or a strong look.

Extensions last 3-4 weeks. Your natural lashes shed a few each day, so book a fill every 2-3 weeks. A fill at 2 weeks is 800 THB. At 3 weeks it is 900 THB.

Aftercare

For the first 24 hours

• After a lash lift, keep your lashes dry for 24 hours.
• After extensions, avoid water, steam and sweat for at least 24 hours so the adhesive can cure. No sauna or swimming.
• No mascara or eye makeup.

After that, for extensions

• Use an oil-free cleanser around the eyes. Oil-based products can weaken the adhesive bond.
• Brush lashes with a clean spoolie each morning.
• Do not rub or pull at your lashes.
• Try not to sleep face down.
• Do not use mascara on extensions.

After that, for a lift

No special care is needed.

Allergies, patch tests and eye safety

Lash adhesive is usually cyanoacrylate-based, and lift and tint lotions are chemical products. Both can irritate the eyes or cause an allergic reaction in some people.

Tell us before you start if you have sensitive eyes, known allergies, an eye infection or recent eye surgery.

We offer a free patch test before your first lash appointment. We put a small amount of adhesive behind your ear or on a few lashes, and you come back after at least 24 hours. We recommend it if you have sensitive eyes, contact lens irritation or allergies to cosmetics. If you have a reaction to the test, we will not go ahead.

If swelling, pain or redness gets worse or does not settle after your appointment, have the extensions removed and see a doctor or pharmacist. This is general information, not medical advice.
